The Saltwater Marsh, located in the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve, is currently closed to the public. Friends of Ballona Wetlands is, however, permitted to lead tours and volunteer opportunities in the Reserve, such as sunset hikes, restoration events, and creek cleanups. This special space is the last remaining coastal wetland in Los Angeles County. It has suffered many assaults over the past hundred years, but with the help of restoration, is starting to make a comeback.

Join us on a free tour to learn more and explore, or come to a public restoration event and help us Bring Back Ballona!

For our recurring monthly tours and events, groups of 8 or more need to register in advance. Please email email us or call 310-306-5994.
