RELEASE FORM FOR ENTRANCE ONTO THE BALLONA WETLANDS

You have requested permission to enter upon property (“Property”) owned and/or maintained by the State of California, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, members, shareholders, contractors, subcontractors and consultants (“Released Parties”) for the purpose of conducting a tour, or otherwise visiting all or part of the salt marsh and dunes area generally known as the Ballona Wetlands (the “Property”).

In consideration of the Released Parties' agreement to permit the foregoing activity on the Property on the date set below, you agree to each of the following conditions:

1.       You acknowledge that you are aware and have been informed that the Property may include areas that are slippery or have uneven surfaces. You agree to take all necessary precautions while on or about the Property to avoid injury to yourself or others. You also acknowledge that you are physically able to undertake the activities contemplated on the Property. There will be no supervision of activities by the Released Parties.

2.          You hereby release the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, causes of action,                      damage, loss, casualty, expense, or similar items you may suffer or incur while on the Property. 

3.         You hereby agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless in all respects from any  and all claims, causes of action, judgments, costs, expenses, attorney’s fees, and liabilities,  whatsoever, arising in any way in connection with your entry onto the Property.

If the above correctly incorporates our entire agreement, including your agreement to Nos. 1, 2 and 3 above, please indicate your agreement by signing this letter.
