Tours
Freshwater Marsh
On the second and fourth Saturday of each month, join
Friends of Ballona Wetlands for an informative tour of the Freshwater
Marsh. You will see a wonderful variety of birds,
learn about native plants, and how the freshwater system works. Park on
the south side of Jefferson Boulevard just west of Lincoln Blvd. and meet there
at the Freshwater marsh sign.

Interpretive Tours
Salt Marsh and Dunes
On the second Sunday of each month, join Friends of
Ballona Wetlands for an exciting, informative nature tour of the Salt Marsh
and Dunes. Enter the Wetlands through the the
gate located in the parking lot behind Gordon's Market at 303 Culver Boulevard in Playa del
Rey. Tour will begin at the restoration trailer.

Restoration Parties
Ballona Dunes
Come help the Friends restore the last coastal wetland
habitat in Los Angeles
County,
on the fourth Saturday of each month. Volunteers get
hands-on experience removing invasive non-native plants, while learning
about wetland ecology and plant identification. Friends provide
gloves and tools. Arrive at the start of the program. This
activity is for age 7 and up, and requires close parental supervision
for young children. Parking and entrance are behind Gordon's
Market at 303 Culver Blvd., Playa del Rey, CA 90293. All
must sign the FBW waiver (available on-site or the below link). Minors must bring a
